Claiborne Parish School Board is seeking qualified applicants for 3 Child Nutrition – Food Service Workers at Homer

 

OVERVIEW OF POSITION

 

Child Nutrition positions of 7 hours per day are available in Homer cafeteria. You can be trained for a variety of job duties such as preparing and serving food, or operating a computer at meal service.


Essential Functions:

 

  • Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions
  • Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • Sets up workstations including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, steam tables, etc.
  • Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes work stations
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager
  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Ability to follow written instructions and interpret recipes and necessary printed matter.
  3. Ability to complete simple math problems involving addition, subtraction and division.
  4. A minimum of at least one year in food service.
  5. Pleasant and cooperative attitude
  6. Ability to be punctual, to follow directions and to work well with others.
